As most of you know, I’ve been podcasting for quite some time now and I feel that I am going to be making a big change in how I do things on my Podcasting Network, BPN.

1. All shows, excluding TWTHS will be going Video, that includes The Budde Cast, Wetpaint Nation and a new show to daybew on January 3rd, 2009.

Newsletter to become an e-course

A few months ago, I started a newsletter to allow me to get even more information out to you easily. As with most good things, this is a time consuming process to keep this going each month, so instead, I am changing the newsletter into a weekly e-course instead. For some, you have already seen this change, for others that may have just subscribed, don’t worry, it’s coming!

I have the last newsletter still online and will leave it there for now. The new e-courses will continue on a weekly basis and I will offer a variety of different courses over the next several weeks. The current e-course is on web site promotion.

Running a weekly e-course will also allow me more control over the content that I present as well as allow me to get updates out to the newsletter subscribers quicker.

Changes to the Podcaster Training Show Coming Soon

On last week’s show, Jeff Chandler, my Co-Host, announced that he would soon be leaving to once again produce the Wordpress Weekly Show. I think this is a great announcement and I wish Jeff all the best!

His announcement has me making some more changes to the show and I will implement these changes over the next few weeks, instead of all at once. Before I outline the new changes, I want to take a minute to reach out to my listeners and ask a simple question…

Would you like to be a Guest Co-Host on the Podcaster Training Show? You don’t need to have you own show, however, it is ok if you do! If you would like to come on for one episode (more if you like) and talk about something that you are passionate about or give some specialized training on the show, then I want to extend this offer to you to do that! Ok, here are some of the new changes that will be coming down the pike:

The format will still include the segments from Jeff, Josh and Patti. There is room for at least one more segment host, maybe two. Again, if you are interested, drop me a line!

I will be adding a couple more sponsors to the show. I will not bombard you at the beginning of the show, but will drop these ads in throughout the show. If you would like to have me drop in a word or two about your show, right now, at no cost (catch me while I’m in a giving mood! ) let me know. I can play a 15 to 30 second clip or simply read something you send me. It can be for your show, podcast, web site, or even your business. make sure to include contact info for the listeners that might want to find you!

I will be adding a weekly challenge to the show, much like what Jeff does on his Perfcast Show. So that I don’t look like I’m copying him, I have contacted him to make sure this will be okay to do or not. He says it is ok to do the challenge, so look forward to that coming soon!

The weekly free gifts are going away. I know many of you enjoyed getting these, however, it is becoming too costly for my budget to continue to do this. Instead of offering a free gift each week, I have dropped ALL the prices on EVERYTHING to $2.00 each at my online store, The Personal Publisher. I will continue to add items every week to the inventory, and I may do a give away every now and again, but for now, the free gifts are going away.

I will going back to a Solo Hosted show after Jeff leaves (he has two more episodes) unless the right person steps up and wants to be my Co-Host each week. Hint, hint! Interested? Let me know!

I am adding a Technical Answers Segment to the show. When I receive a support question, like from one of my YouTube videos, for example, I will review the question on the air and go over the answers, again on the air. I have implemented a Live Support feature on this site (see the upper right hand corner of the main page) that I will take live support issues (when I have the time to monitor it) and otherwise, it will collect the issues by e-mail to me for my responses.

Since I am not doing live video at the moment, I will be adding more video training to the Podcaster Training site as well as producing more screencasts to add to YouTube that will pertain to topics I am covering on the show.

This next item, I’m sure won’t upset you too much, but, I’m not going to continue to record and podcast the after show any longer. There didn’t seem to be much interest, so the after show will just be fun for us and if anyone else wants to know what goes on, they’ll just have to drop in and see for themselves!

I will be adding a New Media Web Site of the Week as a segment. To be included in this segment, your site or blog must be using new media technologies, such as audio, video, flash, etc. I will take recommendations for submissions as well as find many of these sites on my own. I will be adding a submission page here to make it easier fr you to make your recommendations.

And the last change (at least for now) is that I will be changing the intro and adding an outro as well. I won’t begin using the new intro/outro until after September.
