In February 2007, along with Patti Serrano, we started a live, interactive talk show called Leadership and Coaching for Business. This show soon became to be known as Business 101 and going along with branding, I setup a blog under the domain name of Business101Chat.com. Together, Patti and I logged more than 50 episodes under this domain and then as our time in the “real world” started to get less and less, we decided to move the show to my Friday Night Show, Podcaster Training. Since this move to Friday Night’s, we moved the blogging over to the NMP Network blog and decided not to have a special blog for this segment any longer.
Well, in any event, the domain name is now expiring, sometime this month, and will be going away. I will not be renewing the domain as I no longer have a use for it.
I just wanted to give you a heads up in case you might still be following this blog. So, in the ever immortal words of Paul Harvey, now you know, the rest of the story! Good day!

Our Special Guest tonight is Patrick O’Keefe, the author of Managing Online Forums and we talked about different methods of forum usage, software platforms and how to moderate a forum properly. Jeff was not at his PC, so I read most of his questions from our Show Notes to allow Jeff to interact with our guest too.
We had several questions from the chat room and even after the interview, Patrick hung around to continue answering questions on the chat room.
I announced early in the show that the Business 101 Segment is now a permanent fixture on the show. Also, Patti’s Broadcasting Tips are being replaced with the Business 101 Segment and Patti will now focus on the Business of Podcasting each week during this segment.
Some new changes to our format also include that the web site for Business 101, http://www.business101chat.com, will be discontinued as of November when it expires. Before then, I will move the blog posts to this site under it’s new category when I integrate the Business 101 here.
Since the Business 101 Segment is now a permanent part of our show, you will not find it separated out as I have done in the past. It will continue to be on the Podcaster Training RSS Feed from this show onwards now.
Listen to this great interview and show in the player below! See you next week!

This episode was our first using Justin.TV and I must say, it was not your normal Podcaster Training Show! On the bright side, we had 14 new viewers using this service and they just kinda stumbled on in and mostly stayed around for the show!
Due to the absence of my Co-Host and Segment Hosts, I went ahead and dove into the main topic. Ok, I tried to dive in, but there were lots of questions in the chat room, so I paused and spent about 20 minutes answering questions. Needless to say, the viewers and those listening to the podcast will learn a little more about me! I won’t into any details here, but if you want to know more, listen to the episode in the player below.
Patti showed up later in the show (she told me earlier that she would be late and had a very good reason) and we went into the Business 101 Segment and brought the main topic into this segment and talked about the importance of branding your business.
I must say that this initial test of Justin.TV worked very well. I will try them for a few weeks to see how well they work and I am currently testing some other services, so I’ll let you know what I find.
Chris Brogan has a great post about personal branding. Check this out when you have time!
Next week, we will be talking about making your podcast go viral. If you are not acquainted with viral marketing, or simply aren’t sure what this is, be sure to tune in and find out more!
