Podcaster Training: Podsafe Music and Content

Posted on 09 January 2009 by Dr. Robert White

On past episodes, we have discussed using podsafe music, licensed music, and other content that may or may not be licensed or copyrighted. There is still a lot of controversy over using licensed music on your podcast and all I can say is, if you are ever in doubt about the music your are playing or the content you are displaying, then use podsafe music and private label rights articles.

Let’s examine podsafe music first. Many want to include music in intros and outros or as part of a stinger or music bed, but they want something that is professional sounding and good quality too. Of course, like with anything, you may have to search around before you find what you are looking for, however, you are most generally rewarded with the type or style of music you are wanting.

One great source for podsafe music is The Podsafe Music Network. Here you can find music from a variety of indie artists and artists that are just wanting to release their music so that the World can hear it being played! The songs from The Podsafe Music Network are free to download and you can freely play them without purchasing any licensing.

There are plenty of podsafe music sites around, some are free, some will charge a small fee, but the bottom line is, you don’t have to have any licenses for this type of music!

Recently, I purchased more than 300 royalty free tracks that can be used as podsafe music. I have used a few of these tracks on some of my intros and will use more as time goes on. I have just added these tracks to my Membership Site so that the members of Two Beams can download these at no charge. There is a 3 day free trial to check out the goods at Two Beams and then you can cancel or pay just $4.99 per month for unlimited downloads. I offer this service for those who are looking for low cost Private Label Rights Articles, eBooks, software and videos as well as Master Resell Rights products too!

Speaking of Private Label Rights Articles, eBooks, etc., If you have a blog that caters to a certain niche or are just starting to blog, you may have a time of writer’s block or you simply just can’t get the creative juices flowing. Using PLR Articles and eBooks are a great way to give you that creative jump start and give you plenty to blog about. Not saying you use these all the time, I mean you can if you want, but once your creative juices are flowing, set the PLR stuff aside and use it again in the future when it is called for!

Using PLR Articles for your blog or web site is great only if you take the time to add your own touches to the articles. For example, let’s say you have an article pack about word processing. So, instead of taking the time to spruce up the articles, you just take them “out of the box” and slap them into your blog post and publish it. Now, when you go to Google and search for your article, you find 50 other people that did the exact same thing and you find the EXACT same article, word for misspelled word, and now you are not unique and are lost on the 10th page of a Google Search. Not good for SEO is it?

Ok, let’s look at the flip side of that coin. Take the article out of the box, open it in Notepad or Wordpad or whatever you use for editing text files, read the article, correct misspelled words, correct bad grammar, and then start at the top once again and add your own touches to the article. The article may say a sentence one way, you may say it completely different. Rewrite those sentences and then go back and proof read once again. This time, you may see a line or paragraph you can add, reword, rewrite that will add even more to the article.

Now, post that newly rewritten article to your blog or web site and you now have something the search engines will sink their teeth into and give you better placement. Better placement in the search engines means more traffic to your site or blog!

The same techniques apply to PLR eBooks. These are eBooks that come pre-written for you about a certain subject. They some in a Word Document normally or sometimes a text file and you can make your corrections, additions, put your name as the author, etc. and then compile the eBook into a PDF format and then sell it, give it away, use it for a sponsorship, whatever you want! If you have ever wanted to write your own eBook but never fancied yourself an author, this is a chance to do just that. You can even change the ecover that comes with the PLR eBook, change the title if you like and really make it your very own product! Again, this makes your product unique from all the others out there. A good example of this is, recently, a brand new PLR eBook came out regarding Credit Repair Strategies. Since part of Identity Theft Recovery is credit repair, I keep a close eye on that industry and when this book came out, I snagged a copy of it, immediately went through it, took out the odd advertisement or two, put in my own information and then read the book to insure the information I was about to release as “my own” was accurate. After checking and rechecking, I then compiled the new eBook and released it to the World!

Now, I have written a couple of eBooks prior to this concerning identity theft. so, I am no stranger to taking a project like this from scratch and making something usable out of it. I must admit, having the book already written and with good information in it, did make the task less daunting, to say the least!

Make Money by Creating Private Label Products

Posted on 09 January 2009 by Dr. Robert White

[ad#twobeams]
Each day, a large number of individuals search for products rights that are for sale. Those individuals are looking for a product that they can resell to make money. Private label resell rights are a “hot” business opportunity right now. This is because they allow others to make money selling a product that they didn’t even create.

A lot of focus is put on the reselling of private label products, but what slips the mind of many individuals is how those products are created. The reality is that these products are created by real people, someone like you. What does this mean for you? This means that if you have a special talent or skill, you could capitalize on that talent, especially if you have experience as a freelance writer or a freelance software developer.

If you are interested in making money, by creating private label products, you will need to create a product that will sell. To find this product, you may need to do a little bit of research. The goal of your research should be to find a niche that people are in need of. You can easily do this by using the internet to your advantage. A large number of individuals and companies advertise or ask about a particular product or product line. If you are able to create what they are looking for, you can be well on your way to making money.

Once you have created a product that is in demand, whether that product be a collection of articles, an e-book, or a software program, you will want to advertise that the resell rights for that product are for sale. Most individuals do that by creating a webpage. Your webpage could be simple or elaborate; however you want it to be. After time, prospective buyers will flock to your website wanting to purchase the resell rights to your product. Before you can sell the resell rights, you will need to be prepared to answer a few questions from prospective buyers. These questions may range from the price of your resell rights to information on the product that you have.

Before you place the resell rights to your product for sale, there are a number of important things that you may want to take into consideration. There are many private label product creators that require their buyers to sign a contract or at least acknowledge an agreement. Some of these contracts and agreements limit the ways that the product can be altered, advertised, or how much it can sell for. While there are benefits to creating a user agreement, one is not required. You will need to decide, ahead of time, whether or not you will have these restrictions.

One of the most common questioned asked, concerning the creation of private label products is why not just sell them yourself? Of course, you can market and sell your own product if you want to, but it may take a large amount of time and maybe even money. That is why many individuals prefer to sell the resell rights to their product. By selling the rights to your product, you are able to profit from your creation without doing any additional work.

There have been a number of different freelance writers and freelance software designers who have found success by creating products and then offering their resale rights for sale. With a little bit of hard work and determination, you could find that same success.
