My current hmmmmm moment

You’ve all heard the phrase, “Things that make you go hmmmm…”, well, now I’ve got something that is making me go hmmmm right now. Maybe you can help!?!
Currently, I produce a number of podcasts and live shows, both by audio using Talkshoe and video using uStream. Normally, I do this at the same time. There have been times where this hasn’t worked out great because of audio issues (I dial into Talkshoe via Skype Out) and the audio is, let’s just say, less than agreeable to the ear. The audio on uStream however, is for the most part, crystal clear.
So, what’s making me go hmmmm, you ask? Ok, I’ll tell you!
Since the audio clarity on uStream is much better (ok, a whole lot better, let’s be honest here), I could easily extract the audio from the recording after the show and then podcast the audio to my podcast host for listeners and subscribers to download. Also, I would not need to have multiple programs running in order to produce a live video show, so bandwidth, cpu time, RAM, etc. would not be over burdened and taxed during these processes.
My main dilemma (if you want to call it that), is will my faithful listeners and subscribers follow me to a video only format or will I basically, start over from scratch? This is where you come in.
Please leave a comment below, so that everyone can see what’s going on here (the comments are now public, so you don’t have to register) and let me know what you think about this.
After the mess that the audio was in last Friday, I was ready to chuck the entire process out the window. However, I am passionate about what I am doing, so I am going to stick in there.
Now, as most of you know, uStream already has it’s own chat room and I have went ahead and setup a Live Page here and it has it’s own chat room too. As for a phone bridge, I even have that covered, should the need arise, with a 250 person live, conference line. I can even bring people in on Skype and have them live on the show and with the Co-Host feature of uStream, live on the video too.
So, please take a minute to let me know what you think about this. I really do value your opinions and I will address each and every comment personally and take your comments to heart.
Thank you for your patience with all of these issues that has been plaguing my shows.
