Some debtors are lead to believe that paying off a credit card bill will boost their credit score by 50 points while closing an unused credit account will result in 20 more points. Credit scores are certainly not this clear-cut or simple.
How much any one action will affect your credit score is impossible to gauge. It will depend on several factors, including your current credit score and the credit bureau calculating your credit score.
In general, though, the higher your credit score, the more small factors – such as one unpaid bill – can affect you. However, when repairing your credit score, you should not be equating specific credit repair tasks with numbers. The idea is to do as many things as you can to get your credit score as close to 800 as you are able. Even if you can improve your credit score by 100 points or so, you will qualify for better interest rates.

Recently, Sports Legend Johnny Bench was interviewed on a nationally syndicated radio program and he talked about something he called, “The Vowels of Success“. Basically, using the vowels, A,E,I,O,U, he has put together a formula using these letters, to become successful. After hearing this analogy, I have put together The Vowels of Podcasting.
The Vowels of Podcasting
A – Quality Audio, whether it is professionally produced or not. This goes for your actual podcast as much as it does for your recorded content you play on or during your show.
E – Expertise. Remember, everyone starts as a novice, so build up your expertise. The more you do something, the better you become!
I – Interviews with people in your same niche or area of expertise. Interviewing people with similar niches to yours will help to establish you as an expert in that niche.
O – Final Outcome should be as professional as possible. The final recorded podcast should reflect good on you when listened to. If you record a bad podcast, the first time listener may believe this is what they can expect from all of your shows.
U – Uniqueness in your content. Don’t be a copycat, be yourself and talk about what you know!
Following these simple guidelines will enable you to become a stronger, smarter podcaster.
Just remember, podcasting doesn’t just follow these 5 letters, there are 21 more left that you need to concentrate on as well!
